Barbara Floca

Criminal & Family Law Attorney

I’m originally from Austin, Texas, where I lived until I completed my undergrad degree in Latin American studies. I moved to Portland, Oregon, for law school and immediately knew I would build my life here. Growing up, I was introduced to diverse cultures through traveling to Latin America. Those experiences are to credit for my unique perspective, my Spanish-speaking ability, and college major. Throughout my life, I have been unable to ignore injustice which is why I went to law school to become a lawyer.

As an attorney, my main goal is to help people and fight for their rights. Most people won’t need my services, but when something happens that requires them, it can cause anxiety and uncertainty. The task of finding the right attorney can add more pressure to an already stressful situation.

When working with clients, I understand that they are often overwhelmed and distressed. To ease that anxiety, I keep clients well informed through clear and direct communication during the legal process. Overall client satisfaction and trust is a top priority, so I treat all clients and legal matters with the utmost care and respect. My clients can count on my commitment to professionalism as we build our attorney-client relationship and navigate their case.

Welcoming and meeting the unique needs of diverse clients is also important to me. I have seen firsthand how challenging it can be to find an attorney who speaks Spanish and comprehends cultural nuisances. I’m pleased that I can ease that burden for clients whenever applicable.

Whether a client is facing a DUII charge, a divorce, or a restraining order, I work hard to secure the best possible outcome. Every person deserves and needs a zealous advocate regardless of their case specifics or charges.
